Attended Rainbow Push Bailout Collaboration Meeting in Chicago in November 2008 and developed the HBCU agenda to be worked in conjunction with the Investment Bankers and Asset Manager’s with the Secretary of the Treasury.

BWC provided this large established non-profit developer financial advice and capital project management for their first commercial development project. In this capacity, BWC was able to fill the gap in intellectual capacity to bring the project from concept to a “live” capital project. Secured senior debt with large national financial institution utilizing New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC). Additionally developed Brand strategy for the Lifestyle center, which generated 80% pre-leasing.

  • Bridget Chisholm was a speaker at the Straight Talk Symposium and provided discussion points regarding the impact of the global financial crisis on HBCU’s and what will be required to continue positioning the strategic platform of HBCUs.
  • Serving as the financial advisor, BWC finalized public-private financing for the Towne Center at Soulsville in Memphis. The $12 million redevelopment "lifestyle center" consists of a complex financing structure including the City's first development deal utilizing the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) as senior debt. BWC utilized a financing structure involving the first New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) appropriations, through Wachovia's Community Finance Development Group.
  • BWC Consulting was engaged to serve as financial advisor (FA) for the HBCU initiatives to advance policy, financial prowess and economic development for Bennett College.
